About Our Leadership

Ghostlight Theater Camp is led by Lesley Levy and Chris Murrah, who draw on more than two decades of professional theater and summer camp experience and expertise. They are supported in camp’s mission by a team of incredible leadership and artistic staff both during the summer and year round. Together, they have made it their focus to bring the highest caliber theater training possible to campers at Ghostlight and help foster a fun, engaging summer camp experience that campers will carry with them for life.

Chris Murrah - Owner of Performing Arts Summer Camp

Chris Murrah (Owner/Director) has over 25 years of experience in the camp world, with 15 years at Ghostlight Theater Camp. He has seen it from all perspectives as a camper, counselor, and now as co-owner and director of Ghostlight Theater Camp, a place he has called home since 2009. Chris received his Master’s Degree in Theatre Directing from Columbia University and continues to direct theatre and opera around the world. For five years he taught in Yale School of Music’s Graduate Opera program. He calls Asheville, NC home during the year, along with his partner Adam Fleming, where the two co-artistic direct Two Way Radio, a multi-disciplinary theatre company. He is so grateful that Maine is his summer home and loves sharing the beauty it offers with the staff and campers at Ghostlight each summer.

Lesley Levy - Director of Theater Programs for Youth

Lesley Levy (Owner/Director) has spent more than three-quarters of her summers at camp. Her first few summers were as the toddler of a camp doctor. Finally, at age 7, she was old enough and thrilled to attend overnight camp herself! Since then, she has spent over 25 amazing summers at camp in New Hampshire and Maine. Lesley has a Master's Degree in Education from Harvard University and has worked for over 20 years in higher education advising students and serving as a Dean. Along with her spouse Josh and their three children, Lesley feels very fortunate to live in the beautiful state of Maine all year long. She made her stage debut at age seven when she shared the role of Tinkerbell with her twin sister - at summer camp!
