Big News from Ghostlight!

Ghostlight will be moving to a new location for Summer 2026. We’re excited to announce that we will be relocating to Mountain Lake Park in Warwick, NY! Mountain Lake Park is the site of the former URJ Kutz Camp, and you may know it as the campsite where the 2023 film Theater Camp (starring Ben Platt) was filmed. (That’s right — theater camp at Theater Camp!)

Camp Eastwood, the property we’ve been renting for the past 17 years, has been sold to members of two neighboring camps, Manitou and Somerset, to start a new camp next year. While this was not our choice, and we’re sad to say goodbye to Camp Eastwood, we are so grateful that we have been able to find such a wonderful home for Ghostlight. As we looked for a new campsite, we were determined that any location needed to live up to the high bar set by Eastwood as well as offering opportunities for Ghostlight’s continued growth, and after an exhaustive search we’re thrilled with our new home.

Our new location at Mountain Lake Park contains beautiful indoor and covered outdoor performance spaces, comfortable cabins, copious studios, a dining hall that overlooks a tranquil lake, two pools, and even two gazebos! We’re over the moon to share our next chapter with you; expect lots more about this in the coming months. We’ll be sharing more photos and videos from Mountain Lake Park very soon!

We’re confident that what you love about Ghostlight will remain consistent; the joy, creativity, gratitude, and community that make Ghostlight so special will continue and grow in our new home. While we expect that campers may have mixed reactions to this news, we feel certain that this new location will serve our camp exceptionally well.

If you have any questions about the new location, what might be different next summer, or how we can support you and your camper through this transition, we’d love to chat! You can reply here, schedule a call with a camp director, or text/call us at (207) 358-0641 anytime.

We know this news may present a particular challenge to families from Maine; we’re committed to offering transportation assistance and working with Maine families on providing other support to help bridge the transition.

We can’t wait to see you next summer!
