Morning
8:00AM MORNING REFLECTION
We start camp every morning by gathering the entire camp community for morning reflection outside the dining hall. Campers and staff reset for a new day by taking a deep breath and connecting with each other..
8:05AM BREAKFAST
Campers fill up with a delicious breakfast every morning, featuring classics such as eggs, pancakes, French toast, bacon, cereal, oatmeal, tea, and juice. Breakfast is served in our dining pavilion by our friendly dining staff. Our staff is happy to cater to each camper’s dietary needs, including allergy concerns and vegetarian/vegan needs. Our dining hall is also a nut-free zone.
8:30AM CABIN CLEANUP
Cabins will be inspected for cleanliness every morning and campers will be responsible for cleaning up their bunk as a group. Mornings typically feature cleaning sessions as a group with a cast recording of a popular musical!
9:00AM WARM-UPS
Options include stretching, singing, mindfulness, and theater games!
9:30AM MORNING CLASSES
Campers choose a core class, focusing on acting, voice, dance, or playwriting. There are also a wide array of elective opportunities, including improv, a cappella, meditation, nature and camping skills, tap dance, songwriting, cooking, arts and crafts, scenic construction, and many more!
12:15PM LUNCH
Our daily lunch menus include healthy options for every diet including favorites like baked potatoes, sandwiches, tacos, and chicken fingers. The full salad bar is always available as well!
A Typical Ghostlight Day
Afternoon
FLEX TIME 12:45pm
Campers will have some time to relax and unwind after lunch. During Flex Time, campers can choose from a variety of daily options, including games, crafts, line memorization, or resting. Several times a week, the pool will be open during Flex Time, with Red Cross certified lifeguards on duty.
REHEARSALS 2:30PM
Our campers will be working hard to practice and prepare for their performances. Every camper is cast in one show per session. They will prepare to perform for other campers on dress rehearsal day before the big show for family, friends, and local guests on festival day!
DINNER 6:00PM
Campers return to our dining hall for their evening meal — which comes with dessert! Meals are a time for the whole camp community to come together — lifelong friendships are formed as we discuss our days and make new connections.
EVENING ACTIVITIES 7:30PM
Our days don't end with classes and rehearsals. In the evening, our theater-inspired programming includes such varied adventures as a Wizard-of-Oz-themed quest-style night, So You Think You Can Dance, talent show, make-your-own-music-video challenge, and student-directed scenes. On other nights, we'll have a relaxing night of trivia or art projects, and twice each session we have Elective Class Presentations — a highlight of the session!
LIGHTS OUT 10:00PM - 10:30PM
To ensure our campers get a full night’s rest to recharge for the next day of classes and rehearsing, we have everyone in bed by 10:30. Lights out comes earlier for our youngest campers at 10 p.m.
