Afternoon Activities
At our summer camps for kids, campers have plenty of downtime in the afternoon each day between lunch and classes. Typically, our campers will spend this time outside enjoying outdoor activities. Some will play sports, throw a frisbee around, or recruit others for a game of capture the flag. Other activities Other activities at our performing arts summer camp like ping-pong tournaments and Gotcha! Challenges are also used to fill a lot of our downtime and are all supervised by our bunk counselors.
Evening Activities
Our performing arts summer camp is known for our innovative organized activities. These activities are usually team-oriented, featuring plenty of opportunities to perform, challenge yourself, and just be plain silly.
Through these activities, campers continue to learn how to communicate, problem-solve, and work as a team towards a common goal.
Our performing arts summer camp also host talent shows, dances, and movie and podcast nights. Campers may also enjoy a trip into town on some evenings for some Gifford’s Ice Cream, roller skating, or bowling!
Trip Day
Ghostlight Theater Camp makes time for our campers to explore the area around our performing arts summer camp facility. That means a trip day where they can see some of the most beautiful attractions in the state of Maine. Past trips have included hiking and visits to places like Bar Harbor, Acadia National Park, Portland, Belfast, and Boothbay.
Some of our favorite attractions to visit include The Colby College Museum of Art, Maine State Music Theatre, Timber Tina’s Great Maine Lumberjack Show, and taking in live music on the mall in Brunswick!
