Mandated Reporter Training

In New York State, camp directors and nurses are mandated reporters.

Based on proposed legislature, we anticipate that all staff will be considered mandated reporters in the coming years.

At Ghostlight, we strive to go above and beyond requirements to ensure camper safety. Because of these, we are asking all staff to complete New York State's Mandated Reporter Training. This training will help staff learn to navigate signs of physical or sexual abuse.

During our in-person training, we will further discuss how to respond if you have concerns about physical or sexual abuse. In short, we will ask that you come speak to a camp director if you suspect that abuse has occurred at or prior to camp. We would then proceed in making a report.
