The 39 Steps is a hilarious comedy full of mistaken identities, life-or-death chases, and a secret spy organization that might just hold the key to saving the world. When an accidental encounter at the theater turns into a high-stakes battle to uncover the international spy agency known only as "The 39 Steps", this irreverent and energetic adaptation of the Alfred Hitchcock film races to the thrilling finish line!

 

Mary Zimmerman's beautiful and moving adaptation of Ovid's Metamorphoses brings Greek mythology to life in a contemporary and accessible theatrical experience. Poetry, movement, music, and myth combine to become an actor-driven journey through the imaginative world of love and transformation.

🖼️ Ghostlight's New Home

We’re thrilled to introduce you to Mountain Lake Park, and the town of Warwick, NY. Warwick is known for its historic downtown, a vibrant arts scene, agriculture, a jazz festival, hiking trails, and picturesque orchards. For 54 years, the campus at Mountain Lake Park was the home of URJ Kutz Camp. Mountain Lake Park is now best known as the site where the movie Theater Camp was filmed, making it an iconic theater camp location!

During the school year, the Mountain Lake Park campus hosts a popular fall Applefest, Girl Scout troop projects, a nature-based preschool, and retreats. We’re anticipating the joy of building our new artistic home among the trees and wildlife, making theater in studios with huge windows that overlook the lake.

Some areas of the Mountain Lake Park campus are shared with other programs. There is a local student technology club that meets once a week, and a small preschool that runs a morning camp in a separate building. Some of the lakefront areas are open to the public for hiking and fishing from 10am-6pm. The pickleball courts and pool area are open to members only from 10am-6pm. From 6pm to 10am, the campus is closed to everyone except Ghostlight staff and campers. Whenever there are non-Ghostlight members using some of the campus facilities, there are always staff from Mountain Lake Park present to support. 

We're also grateful that the Mountain Lake Park campus has security measures in place, such as 24/7 camera coverage, secure gates, and a regular patrol from local law enforcement, that will support our work keeping the campus safe.

For returning campers, we know the new space will feel new in some ways, while our program will also feel very familiar. We're excited for both new and returning campers to discover the beautiful location!
