Forms Reminder, Staff Handbook, Pre-Camp Training
Dear Friends,,
Greetings from Ghostlight! May is here, and before we know it, we'll all be together at camp. I was on the phone with a new camper last week who is feeling a bit nervous about the summer, and, even after thirteen years at Ghostlight, I can still relate! Every summer feels a bit new and different, and if you're having any pre-camp jitters, you're not alone. This particular new camper, nervous about making friends, found comfort in knowing that all of us are at camp with the same goal: an incredible summer of theater and community.
Each summer, we invite our campers to:
- Be Inspired; Support and Inspire Others
- Challenge Yourself Creatively
- Commune with Nature
- Take Care of Yourself and Others
- Fall in Love with your Show
- Make Lifelong Friends
- Take Joy in All You Do
As we continue to inch towards Session 1 camper arrivals on June 27, I encourage you to consider how we can all support our campers in these goals. Some of them feel big! "Make Lifelong Friends"? How!? That's part of our role, and part of what we'll discuss in staff training — how can we help our campers make great connections with each other? How can we accompany them as they're taking risks in classes and rehearsals? I can't wait to hear all of your ideas.

📝 Forms Reminder
Thanks to all who have begun completing staff forms for this summer! Some forms are due May 15 and others are due June 1. Please visit your Staff Dashboard to continue working on your staff forms, and let us know if you have any questions.

🏕️ Pre-Camp Training Modules
To help prepare for the summer and to help maximize our time together in person during Staff Training, we've prepared some short online training modules. Some are required for all staff members, and some are only for staff members who are new in 2026.
