Meet the loneliest whale in the world.
A lonely artist named Keaton meets the loneliest whale in the world, who sings at 52-hertz, a frequency no other whale can hear. The Whale has been swimming alone and singing to only his shadow for who knows how long until one day he hears a mysterious voice reply. Unfortunately for The Whale, this voice is actually the terrible sound installation of tortured graduate student, Keaton. Keaton and the Whale is a story about loneliness and the beauty of communication in all of its many forms.
“This is your moment! You rode those boats… You made history… This was your story.”
Men on Boats by Jaclyn Backhaus is a playful, contemporary retelling of the first government sanctioned expedition to the Grand Canyon in 1869. By casting actors who identify differently from the majority of people on the actual expedition (bluntly: straight white men), the play resurfaces the voices of those silenced throughout history. The play follows the relationships of the expedition members led by John Wesley Powell as they are tested through epic scenes of river navigation as well as moments of interpersonal conflict on land just as severe as the rapids themselves. Through this play, the creative team asks: “How do we move forward through uncertainty? How do we grapple with our imperialist instinct towards adventure and to be the “first”? Who gets to write history, and can we reclaim it?”
"I am about to proceed on a long and difficult voyage..."
The world of Mary Shelley & Percy Blythe Shelly collides with the modern day through the pages of Frankenstein and the imaginative minds of four teens. This original work by Monica Flory, and directed by the same, uses music and dreamscapes and movement to explore all the ways in which theater can transport us while keeping firmly grounded.

Unrequited Love. Deception. Hilarity.
Adapted by Thornton Wilder and Ken Ludwig from the play by George Farquhar. The play tells the story of two young bucks who, having spent all their money by living too well, leave London and roam from town to town in search of love and fortune. In order to find a wealthy heiress for at least one of them, they pose as master and servant – exchanging roles from one town to the next. In Lichfield, Aimwell is the master and Archer the servant, and there they meet the lovely, wealthy Dorinda and her equally desirable sister-in-law, Mrs. Kate Sullen. They set their caps for these women, but problems abound. Kate is married to a drunken sot who despises her; the innkeeper's saucy daughter, Cherry, has set her cap for Archer; Dorinda's mother, Lady Bountiful, mistakenly believes herself to be a great healer of the sick, and she guards her daughter like a dragoness; and a band of brigands plans to rob the house of Lady Bountiful that very night, putting all schemes in jeopardy. This is a play in the great tradition of Goldsmith's She Stoops to Conquer and Sheridan's The Rivals and The School for Scandal. It is classic, formal, robust and hilarious.

"What's the Buzz? Tell me what's happenin'!"
The first musical by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice to be produced for the professional stage, Jesus Christ Superstar has wowed audiences for over 40 years. A timeless work, the rock opera is set against the backdrop of an extraordinary and universally-known series of events but seen, unusually, through the eyes of Judas Iscariot. Loosely based on the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, Superstar follows the last week of Jesus Christ’s life. The story, told entirely through song, explores the importance of community in an environment that seems to undermine its very necessity.
