This year, we are challenging our Ghostlight team to find moments in every day that are meaningful for campers, and to help them find a presence at camp that will lead to memorable experiences they can carry with them.
One of the ways we are working to make this happen is by focusing on creating rehearsal rooms, cabins, and activities that are inclusive, welcoming, and inviting for all our campers. Here are some ways we are setting out to do this:
- Continuing to affirm campers' chosen names and preferred pronouns each day.
- Training in Mental Health First Aid practices as part of our staff training.
- Adopting best practices for intimacy coordination in our rehearsals, namely seeking consent when touch of any kind is called for in a space. (It's not just about kissing. At Ghostlight, even a high-five requires consent.)
- Training counselors and wardrobe crews on best practices for changing clothes, reiterating that comfort and safety are for everyone in a space, not just the person changing.
If you'd like to learn more about how you can join us in our mission, we recommend the following resources, and we welcome any questions you have about how we at Ghostlight approach particular situations.

🎪 What day and time are the shows?
The Emerging Artist show will be July 31st around 7:00 PM. Families are invited to attend the show and celebrate with us.
Session 1 shows are on July 20th, and Session 2 shows are on August 10th. Show days begin around 1 PM and go until around 8 PM. We invite you to join us for the full day for a family dinner, shows, and more!

We won't know the answer until after the camp auditions. We will email you on the first day of rehearsal (the second full day of camp) to inform you about casting and the show-day order.
👵🏽 Can grandparents or other family members come to the shows?
Absolutely. Close family and friends are welcome to attend. Because of the seating capacity in our theater, we ask that parties of more than eight don't hesitate to get in touch with us to confirm.
