Dear Ghostlight Families,
We hope you're having a great start to May! Chris, Monica, Spencer, Zack, and I spent the weekend together last week prepping for the summer. There's so much to be excited about — classes, shows, activities, trip days, and more — and we can't wait to make this summer an incredible one for All camper first names.

🎭 Festival Days
Festival Days are the last full day of each three-week session, and guests are invited to see a full day of shows at Ghostlight. Specific details, including the time of each show and information about meals, will be sent with our cast lists on the second morning of camp. You can expect each Festival Day to begin around noon. Session 1's Festival Day is on July 19 and Session 2's Festival Day is on August 9. Family and close friends are invited to attend. Due to the seating capacity in our theater, we ask that parties of more than six please reach out to us to confirm. Departures for each session are the morning after Festival Day.
The Emerging Artists performance is on July 31 at 7:30pm. We invite the families of Emerging Artists to join us for Finding Nemo KIDS, and Emerging Artists will depart the next morning.
❓ FAQs
My camper is new this summer. Can they connect with a returning camper prior to camp?
Yes! In the next month, your camper will receive outreach from a returning camper who will be a great resource for any questions leading up to the summer. Returning campers will be able to share about their experiences at Ghostlight, favorite shows and classes, packing recommendations, and more!
How does laundry at camp work?
Laundry at camp is done twice during each session at the end of the first and second weeks. For Emerging Artists, laundry will be done once, and there will be an additional load for full summer campers during intersession. Laundry is done off camp, and all new campers will receive an orange Ghostlight laundry bag. Returning campers should bring their orange laundry bag from last summer.
What does communication look like during the summer?
Families will receive a daily email from a camp director with an update about the previous day at Ghostlight. Camp directors are also always available to email or for a phone call to check in about how your camper is doing. Campers can receive snail mail as well as printed emails that can be sent via the Family Dashboard. Campers can respond by mail (we recommend sending pre-addressed and stamped envelopes!), and they can also write a few letters each week to be scanned and emailed to family or friends.
What are auditions at Ghostlight like?
Auditions at Ghostlight are supportive and encouraging! Auditions take place on the first full day of each session, and campers spend time learning more about each of our shows. Campers will have the opportunity to read scenes, sing, and dance while traveling around camp in small groups. We finish the day with an exciting evening activity, and cast lists are posted the next morning (and sent to families). Our directors, music directors, and choreographers do an excellent job helping each camper get excited about their role and show.
